The 9-year long product and process development research partnership between the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Moratuwa, the Uni-Consultancy Services (UNIC) of the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Moratuwa, and the DSI group of companies was renewed on the 27th of July 2020. Through this renewal, D. Samson Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. also joined this industrial collaboration.
The key feature in this partnership is the UOM-SIL Rubber Products and Process Development Incubator which is located in the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering of the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Moratuwa (DCPE-UOM). Present at this occasion were Prof. Kapila Perera (Vice-Chancellor) and the administrative staff, Prof. Anuruddha Puswewala (Chairman - UNIC) and UNIC staff, Dr. Kulatunga Rajapaksa (Managing Director – Samson International PLC), Mr. Kasun Rajapaksa (Managing Director – Samson Compounds (Pvt.) Ltd. and D. Samson Industries (Pvt.) Ltd.), Mr. Dilshan Rajapaksa (Director – DSI group of companies), Prof. Shantha Walpalage (Head of DCPE-UOM) and the DCPE-UOM academic staff, Prof. Jagath Premachandra (Director/ UOM-SIL incubator), Mr. W. A. Cyril (Director - Projects/ UOM-SIL incubator) and other incubator staff members.
