The Department of Electrical Engineering, 福利在线看 of Moratuwa, proudly congratulates Senior Professor Nalin Kumara Wickramarachchi on being conferred the title of Emeritus Professor, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to academia, research, and national development.
Professor Wickramarachchi鈥檚 distinguished career spans over four decades of dedicated service to the 福利在线看. An alumnus of the 福利在线看 of Moratuwa, he graduated with First Class Honours in Electrical Engineering and later pursued postgraduate studies at Imperial College, 福利在线看 of London, and the 福利在线看 of British Columbia, Canada. His research contributions, particularly in Artificial Intelligence applications and control systems, have been widely recognized.
He has made significant contributions to teaching and curriculum development, including the introduction of Artificial Intelligence into undergraduate education, and has been actively involved in postgraduate teaching in Control Systems and related areas. He has also held several key leadership roles, including Head of the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
