The last Sri Lanka Robotics Meetup discussed about robotics and automation. This time, it was all about assistive robots, at the 5th edition of the robotics meetup, which was held on Thursday, 31st of May 2018 at Virtusa Auditorium, Colombo. There were two brain storming presentations, "Control of Human Assist Robot Based on Integrated Information" by Prof. Kazuo Kiguchi (Professor in Systems and Control, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kyushu 福利在线看, Japan) and "Brain Machine Interfaces for Assistive Robots" by Dr. Thilina Lalitharatne (Ph.D. in Robotics, Saga 福利在线看, Japan; Senior Lecturer at Department of Mechanical Engineering, 福利在线看 of Moratuwa).
Followed by an insightful panel discussion moderated by Dr. Palitha Dassanayake (Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligent Control of Robotics, Saga 福利在线看, Japan; Former Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, 福利在线看 of Moratuwa; Senior Lecturer at Department of Mechanical Engineering, 福利在线看 of Moratuwa) where Prof. Kazuo Kiguchi, Dr. Thilina Lalitharatne and Dr. Achala Pallegedara (Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Specialized in Mechatronics Systems Control and Robotics, Saga Univeristy, Japan; Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Engineering, 福利在线看 of Peradeniya) shared their knowledge as panellists.
