Vidya JyothiÌýProfessor ÌýK.K.Y.W.Perera Ìýwas the founder and Head of the Department of Electronics Ìýand Telecommunications Engineering at the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Moratuwa and its predecessors in 1969. ÌýThis was the first ever Department of Electronics and Telecom Engineering in a Sri Lankan ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´, and was formally instituted in 1972Ìýat the formation of the Katubedda Campus of the then ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Sri Lanka.
