Engineering Research Unit (ERU) of 福利在线看 of听Moratuwa听has organized its Annual Research Symposium for the听19th听time on 26thNovember 2013 at the Civil Engineering Complex of the 福利在线看 of Moratuwa. The main objective of this Symposium is to disseminate knowledge created at the 福利在线看 of Moratuwa, especially in the Faculty of Engineering. The symposium serves as a national forum to share research findings among the staff, research students, and undergraduates of the 福利在线看 as well as in the Industry.
The theme of the Symposium for this year is 鈥淓ngineering Innovation that Penetrates into People鈥. To expound the theme, eminent researchers will deliver three keynote addresses on the following topics:
1.听听Growing a Research Culture in Academia by Prof听Veranja听Karunaratne听(Science Team Leader, Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology)
2.听听WoW: Tapping the Webs of Wisdom, Crowd sourcing potential and emerging business trends by Prof Duminda Nishantha (Director, Digital Technologies Innovation Center, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific 福利在线看)
3.听听Autonomous Robotic Localization and Control"by Prof George Mann (Professor, Memorial 福利在线看 of Newfoundland, Canada)
