Dr. D.P. Chandrasekara is appointed as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Moratuwa, with effect from 5th October 2022. Dr. Chandrasekara who is an alumni of the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Moratuwa obtained his first degree and the MSc. from the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Moratuwa in 1983 and 1986 respectively. He obtained his PhD from the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ of Colombo in 2017.
Prior to being appointed as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Chandrasekara served in the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´ as a Senior Lecturer, Head of the Department of Architecture and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and held many other administrative positions. As the Director-Planning and Rehabilitation, he contributed immensely to the infrastructure development of the ¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¿´. Dr. Chandrasekara also holds the Associate Membership of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects.
