
The Department of Transport Management & Logistics Engineering (TMLE) successfully conducted the second and third sessions of the Research Dissemination Meeting (RDM) series on 26th March and 30th April 2026, respectively.
Introduced as a monthly platform to strengthen the department鈥檚 research culture, the RDM series encourages knowledge sharing, constructive discussions, and collaboration among postgraduate students and academic staff.
The second session featured Ms. Nikeshala Gunaratne, who presented her research titled 鈥淚nter-terminal Transport Automation in Seaports: Global Insights and Implementation Barriers.鈥 The session also included a presentation by Senior Lecturer, Dr. Madushan Madhava Jayalath, on 鈥淣avigating the Research Publication Journey, 鈥渨here practical insights on academic publishing were shared.

The third session included presentations by Ms. Charuni Wijayasingha on 鈥淎 Responsible Technological Transformation Framework for Micromobility Manufacturing Industry in Sri Lanka,鈥 and Mr. Upeksha Senanayake on 鈥淯AV-Assisted Emergency Logistics in Disaster Response for Highland Cities.鈥
Both sessions facilitated engaging academic discussions and meaningful knowledge exchange, continuing the positive momentum of the RDM initiative within the department.
